We're inviting individuals, schools, community organisations and businesses from across the Woollahra Local Government Area to apply for grants through our 202/26 Grants Program.

The program seeks to support projects that work towards a connected, liveable, creative and sustainable community, with funding available in the categories of Community and Cultural, Environmental, Placemaking, Business Sector Support and Outgoing Sponsorship Program.

Small grants of up to $3,000 are available to individuals, community groups, community organisations (not-for-profits and charities) and businesses; and large grants of between $3,001 and $7,500 are available to businesses, community organisations and community groups. Business Sector Support grants are available for up to $10,000 per organisation. For the Outgoing Sponsorship Program, annual funding of $50,000 is available, for up to $20,000 per submission.

What grants are available

Environmental grants aim to support local schools and not-for-profit community organisations to implement sustainability projects, while Community and Cultural grants provide support for projects that contribute to a vibrant and creative community, with this year’s theme focusing on mental health and positive wellbeing as well as fostering harmony and celebrate cultural diversity, strengthening social cohesion within the community.

Placemaking grants provide funding for events and activities that activate and enhance public spaces, and Business Sector Support Grants assist organisations (including business chambers) with initiatives that support businesses and local economic development.

Our Outgoing Sponsorship Program supports the performing arts, cultural events and other long standing initiatives that collectively harness the social capital of Woollahra.

Grant applications close on 11 May 2025.
