Apply now for grant funding
Do you have an idea to help make Woollahra an even better place to live, work and visit?
We fund a variety of projects and events through our Grants Program to support our vision for a thriving, inclusive, sustainable and resilient community and to create new opportunities for community connection, engagement and partnerships.
Our 2025/26 program opens for applications on 31 March, for grants across five categories: Community and Cultural, Placemaking, Environmental, Business Sector Support and Outgoing Sponsorship. Small Grants of up to $3,000, Large Grants up to $7,500, Business Sector Support Grants up to $10,000 and annual sponsorship funding of $50,000 (up to $20,000 per submission) for support of the performing arts and cultural events is available.
Applications close on 11 May. Applicants will be notified of the outcome by late June 2025. Successfully funded projects must be completed by 30 June 2026. Visit Woollahra Grants for more information and to apply.
Anzac Day writing competition
It’s vital that our younger generations continue to mark the sacrifice of our Anzacs and the contribution of our servicemen and women, so I encourage local students to enter our Anzac Day writing competition and share with our community the story of a family member who served or simply explain what Anzac Day means to you. Entries can be in the form of a poem, non-fiction or creative writing.
Winners have the opportunity to read their work at the Anzac Day wreath laying ceremony at the Double Bay Cenotaph in Steyne Park on 25 April and will also receive a Westfield gift voucher. To enter, visit Anzac Day by 30 March.

Congratulations to all the Woollahra locals who became Australian citizens at our 13 March citizenship ceremony at Council Chambers in Double Bay. It is always a great pleasure to meet local residents and celebrate with them at this special time in their lives.
