Watsons Bay Library after hours access

This month marks the launch of an innovative new program at Watsons Bay Library, which will allow members to access this wonderful community space and its resources during additional unstaffed hours.

From 18 November, registered library members can securely enter the building with the use of their phone, library membership number and PIN.

Once inside, members will have access to the entire Library space, including free Wi-Fi, public computers and printing services. Library items can be borrowed using the self-checkout kiosk.

I am grateful for the amazing work of our libraries staff on this initiative – their vision for the library’s future means everyone can now access this important public space at times that better suit their busy schedules.

Visit Watsons Bay Library for more info and to register.

Join the compost revolution

Living in an apartment doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice the joy and benefits of gardening. Give your indoor plants or balcony garden a boost this season with compact composting and worm farming options to suit every home size and set up, available through our Compost Revolution program, which offers discounts of up to 70% for local residents.

Head to Compost Revolution to order and start recycling your food scraps into nutrient-rich fertiliser.

60 years of The Paddington Society

It was a great pleasure to join members of The Paddington Society to celebrate a significant milestone in the community association’s history on 6 November at Victoria Barracks.

The Society has been working to preserve Paddington’s heritage and amenity since 1964 and I look forward to its continued contribution to protecting the area’s unique character for generations to come.
