This Compost Awareness Week (4-10 May 2025), join us for a free workshop, either in person or online, to explore the wonders of composting and worm farming.
Discover how these simple practices can reduce waste, enrich soil and support a healthier planet. Whether you are a beginner or looking to deepen your knowledge, we have something for everyone.
Create garden gold: In person session with Emma Daniel
Join us at the Rose Bay Community Garden for a hands-on learning experience. Discover the secrets of turning kitchen scraps and garden organics into nutrient-rich compost for your garden. Learn about the benefits and how to set up and maintain a compost bin and worm farm to reduce waste and create natural fertiliser. Our expert instructor will guide you through the process step by step with afternoon tea provided.

The Dirt on Composting and Worm Farming: Online session with Kate Flood
Can’t attend an in-person workshop? Not to worry, you can learn about composting and worm farming all from the comfort of home.
Find a cozy spot and join the queen of all things compost, Kate Flood with an informative online session. Kate will walk you through everything you need to know about setting up your system, provide tips and tricks and answer any tricky questions you may have.
