Community languages

Resources in Languages Other Than English (LOTE)

Woollahra Libraries offers books in a range of languages other than English, reflecting the diverse backgrounds of members of our local community. These items are the property of the State Library of New South Wales as part of its multicultural services and are made available to Woollahra Libraries for a period of 6 months.

Members may request a bulk loan of books in languages other than English at any time via inter-library loans . There is no charge for this service. Members may borrow them for the usual three week loan period with 2 renewals.

Requests for particular titles attract the standard inter-library loan charges. Please fill out this form for a specific title.

Print magazines in a range of languages are available and may be borrowed for 3 weeks with 2 renewals.

Digital magazines in other languages are available via the Libby by Overdrive App. Click here to explore the collection
