Macquarie Lightstation became operational on 30 November 1818, when the lantern was lit for the first time. To celebrate the 206th anniversary of this historic occasion, join us for a special tour on Friday 29 November.

As you explore Macquarie Lightstation, a knowledgeable guide will share the stories of this significant navigational light source. You will learn about the significance of First Nations peoples, gain insights into the evolution of the lighthouse itself, and learn about recent archaeological work.
