Join us for the unveiling of an original artwork ‘On My Way’ by local artist Zephyr Johnstone-Grey.

This exhibition, located in the Youth Space, features a striking watercolour painting that reflects the local area's architectural evolution and personal history. The artwork integrates research from historical publications with materials sourced from the Australian coastline, offering a unique perspective on local heritage and gentrification.

It will be complemented by a watercolour workshop for teens during the October School Holidays, designed to inspire and engage young people with local scenery and artistic techniques. Celebrate the intersection of history, art, and community with us at this special event!

Artist Bio:

Working predominantly with ball-point pen, Zephyr Johnstone-Grey is a drawer and painter based in Rose Bay who graduated from Rose Bay Secondary College in 2023. Johnstone-Grey, born in 1997 in Bondi Junction, looks to communicate the temporal experience of their surroundings through ball-point pen and charcoal drawings. Most recently, Zephyr has expanded their practice to use watercolour to explore their ideas of identity and place through depicting architectural structures with emotional resonance.

Most recognised for their inclusion in _ARTEXPRESS 202_4 at AGNSW, they continue to expand their practice across painting, drawing and ceramics to develop their identity as a young artist from the Woollahra local area.
