The internet helps you stay in touch with friends and loved ones, and tools like social media and video calling are useful.

Social media sites like Facebook and Twitter let you see what’s happening in the lives of friends, and allows you to let them know what’s going on in yours. Video calling is an additional way to connect with friends and family as well as participate in activities, events and appointments from a distance.

The aim of this workshop is to teach you how to use common video calling applications in safe and appropriate ways. This session also walks you through the internet's most popular social media applications such as Facebook, Skype, Twitter and WhatsApp.

A laptop will be provided to use during the session. It is recommended to bring your own headphones as well as your smartphone or tablet if possible.
