Council-managed venues

Council has a range of halls and venues for hire. These are located across the municipality and are suitable for recreational and community activities, children's parties and private functions.

The Bay Room

The Bay Room situated in the heart of Double Bay is a popular venue for meetings, conferences, workshops, seminars and social gatherings.

Canonbury Cottage

On weekends Canonbury Cottage is available for social gatherings and weddings. During the week the Cottage is available for social events, recreational activities and community groups.

Cooper Park Community Hall

Cooper Park Community Hall is a perfect venue for social events, recreational activities and community groups. There is a playground area at the rear of the venue.

The Cultural Hub

Situated at Woollahra Gallery, this venue is perfect for art classes, workshops, meetings and discussion groups, as well as low impact recreation use such as yoga, pilates, drama and language groups.

The Studio at The Drill Hall

The Studio in Darling Point is suitable for creative development and rehearsal space for dance, drama, arts, training, workshops, classes, meetings and film shoots.

EJ Ward Paddington Community Centre

This venue, situated in Paddington, is suitable for meetings, conferences, seminars, recreational activities and community groups.

Rose Bay Cottage is designed for use by young children and their families. It is perfect for childrens' birthday parties and family events as well as recreational activities and community group usage.

The Gunyah

The Gunyah is situated in picturesque Watsons Bay and is suitable for social events, recreational activities, meetings and community groups.

Sherbrooke Hall

Sherbrooke Hall ticks all the boxes for an all-weather, fully accessible event venue. It's perfect for children’s birthday parties, social events, recreational activities, community groups, meetings, conferences, workshops and seminars.

Vaucluse Bowling Club & Community Facility

The newly renovated Vaucluse Bowling Club & Community Facility overlooks the bowling greens and is located close to Vaucluse shopping precinct. Book this venue for social events, family gatherings, children's birthday parties, conferences, workshops and seminars.
