My project will have Council Fees payable – can I ask for fee relief from these costs?
Your project or event may require the use of Council facilities or services, for example venue hire, park or reserve hire, waste services (provision of bins and waste collection services), licenses or permissions. If it does, your application must include details of the associated fees. You will need to acquire a quote from Council before submitting your Expression of Interest (EOI).
Contact Council’s grants team on grants@woollahra.nsw.gov.au with your requirements as soon as possible (at least 2-weeks prior to your application due date including, for example, the estimated fee total, based on fees published on our website plus the number of hours/duration, location and other requirements. Council will consider this as contribution in kind and costed support as part of your EOI budget. Council may cover part or all of your request for fee relief.
All Council costs must be included in your EOI budget submission. Council will not subsidise or absorb additional requests for in kind support.
Can Council provide marketing and promotional support for my project?
If your project or event is successful for funding, Council will use our communication channels to promote your initiative, which may include: social media, e-news, print, editorial, advertorial, digital display (at Council’s discretion and depending on space availability, timing and assets provided to Council). There is no charge for this promotion support.
As part of your application you may include an allocation of funding to spend on advertising, publicity and promotions. This may be a human resource or promotional materials/spend. Or you may decide not to apply for funding support for this kind of activity, as you may have alternative resources, or dedicated external funding or assistance.
If you do not have access to marketing and promotional support resources and your project requires additional help, we may be able to assist you with advertising, copy writing, media advice or promotion. This would be considered additional in kind support that would need to be included in your application for funding. If this sounds like something you will need help with, please contact our Communications team on communications@woollahra.nsw.gov.au as soon as possible (at least 2-weeks prior to your application due date) and we can discuss your requirements and the value to assign to the in-kind support in your application.
Can my project receive both grant funding and Outgoing Sponsorship support?
No, if you have another project that has received Woollahra Council grant funding in the current round, your project is not eligible for further support through the Outgoing Sponsorship program. You can however apply for sponsorship for a completely separate project.
